ITF-EDV Fröschl developed a basis system for automatic meter reading. Combined with a large number of functionality, evaluation and device modules we can offer an individual system solution adjusted to the needs of our customers.

Flexible use

Our software solutions are available as stand-alone as well as multi-user systems (Client/Server application).

Sybase Anywhere is the optimal database for a stand-alone installation.
A multi-user installation requires the platform-independent Oracle database or the windows-based MS SQL Server database.

We put emphasis on the possibility of a quick and comfortable system extension.

A stand-alone system can easily be changed into a multi-user system.
The same database structure enables an easy data migration. It is no problem to transfer all data 1:1 to the multi-user system.
Parallel to a network extension, the system basis can be extended step by step with a rising number of metering points according to the customers' needs.

Device manufacturer independent

The IT system is independent from the manufacturer and processes all types of energy such as gas, water, heat and electricity. The communication with different types of meters is executed via individual device drivers. At the moment we can offer our customers more than 240 device drivers for automatic meter reading.

Your meter is not included in our offer?

We would be pleased to add further devices to our development plan. Therefore we can guarantee you a complete independence from manufacturers.

We can read all types of energy.

We read and process all meter data on all voltage levels in the electricity sector. All read measuring data is stored in only one database where it can be used for further processing.

Extension with mobile meter reading

Today the fields of application of mobile meter reading range from the tour-guided manual reading at residential customers via the automatic reading at industrial customers to the installation, change and parameterization of meters.

Because of the meanwhile wide use of automatic meter reading the mobile "emergency reading" of automatically read metering points (ZFA metering points) became a further field of application.

Because of our longtime experience in the field of mobile meter reading we can offer our customers, for this field of application, a modern solution which meets the requirements.
Different handheld types can be used for mobile meter reading. Therefore a processing of different reading tasks is possible at any time..
